Public Transport Etiquette
Instead of waiting around for things to change, how about we look at proper etiquette to observe as passengers? Assuming you're grasped the basics, here are additional "please don'ts" that you can take note of .
Dont's sleep . Feel free to rest your eyes but when you start snoring or falling over onto other people's shoulders . you've crossed the line from "passenger" to "creepy person who passed out on the bus" Don't be the person , nobody like the person.- Don't just stare off into space. Bring something to do on the bus : a book , a handheld video game , the newspaper , your smartphone, something. It's not a cool look to sit and stare at the person across from you because you have nothing to do on the bus. -- that's is your faults! Don't make the rest of us feel uncomfortable because of it.
- Don't fumble and delay . The world doesn't revolve around you. It's very rude to have everyone behind you wait in line. while you look for change. Every lost minute slowly build up and even cause people to miss their important transfer. Be courteous and have your fare or prepaid card in hand.
- Don't lean on the handrail. It is there for standing passengers to hold on to , not for you to rest. By doing so , you are taking up space about 10 other passengers'. Be considerate. You don't want to be responsible for people losing their balance tumbling over.
